One of the first things I would recommend would be to lube the worms. Jerry

Is there anything holding the dig in place?

The micro sidewinder might not be a powerful enough esc for the Losi.

I think the esc and motor should be adequate. LCC trannys are geared higher, so a 12T pinion wouldn't hurt. How's the battery? What voltage, capacity, and have you checked the voltage after a little runtime with a voltmeter? Do you have an external bec for the steering servo? If not, pull the servo plug and drive it up a steep without steering just to see if that matters. And if you're new to losi's, take note of jgrim's point. Worm lube is a big deal on these cars. Check back when you're sure the lube and battery are fresh.

There was also a bulletin way back about extra shims being shipped with the LCC axles that caused a bunch of extra drag because they would cause the worm gears to bind up. Might want to check that out and see if yours was one of the affected ones.

Worm gears are lubed, im running a 3s 800 mAh battery 11.1v. Just bought me a novak 35T motor. Would a night crawler tranny give me lower torque. I dont care if i loose dig cuz we cant use it in our shafty class

Yes, most comp guys fit LNC trannys which are a straight bolt-in. They're lighter, compact and much lower-geared. Unless you happen to find one, they can be easily and cheaply built from new parts available from EBAY. Figure about $25-30.

Was the 55T motor bad?

Here's a link to a great thread about lessening the friction in the drivetrain of a Losi crawler. Good stuff.
