Default liv3mind's lnc stuff

figured i would post up some pics of the lnc im working on, started out with the stock stuff, cut body, weighted the wheels with 6 front 3 rear, motor burnt fast, so i put mmp/titan 21t combo in it, ccbec, and the 20t pinion, that worked for while but i was unsatisfied with it because the stock lower links flexed bad and bottomed out on the motor, so i build my own lowers and used stock uppers, i have been playing with shock mounting and settled on mounting the fronts in the battery tray hole and the rears in the bottom shock hole, loved that, then decided to get crafty and stiffen the front up so its bassically solid, and the rear is very soft, this makes it so the rear is pretty much the articulating point and the front stays stationary, i have found so far that this makes it very very predictable and still goes everywhere it went before, climbs better too. next on the list is better wheel tire combo, knuckle weights, and a lighter motor (still deciding on brush vs brushless), lipos mounted up front, battery tray delete, and better shocks. plan on making this a fun rig and maybe comping it a little later. some pics of my trekker too.

Default liv3mind's lnc stuff

Well, I have done a bunch of stuff, hopefully I can get some pictures up soon, but here is a list:

Novak 18.5/20t
Battery tray delete
Aluminum cross braces
Finally running lipos 2c 2000 (want smaller)
Axial 8holes
Voodoo tires (in the mail!)
New grappler body/paint

I'm trying to decide on the right servo for this setup that's relatively cheap, and am also looking for ti links and good shock/spring setup. Does anyone have an issue with 1 link bottoming on the motor?

oh I also hacked the chassis a little in some spots, for those that are wondering, this truck is not the same one pictured above, my 4 year decided that would be his so I bought a used one about 2 weeks ago (the day I bought it) and this is how she went back together for round 1

Your off to a great start! Here is a few other things to look into for the future.

- while running the stock chassis, look at doing the tranny flip
- you probably will burn the servo up right away, why they give you an 80oz tourque to start with is just looney!
- you will probably want to do some drilling and attach slw hubs to those wheels, because the tourque will strip the stock plastic hub area really quick.
- 18.5t is a good start, but over time as you grow and become a better driver you will be hungrey for more wheel speed, then you may want to step into a 13.5t.

Great looking rig! Love seeing new faces in the losi section!

Tranny flip and trackstar ts-910 servo should be done within 2 weeks or so, I will probably be ordering up some cf wheels sometime soon and slw then, hopefully these will last, what size pinion would I run with a 13.5? thank you very much for the tips and please keep them coming!

Also with the NCD chassis im pretty sure tomy releases it a while ago with the lnc skid? I just know that waggaclint ran one of those. He's actually parting out his rig and still has the chassis for sale. But I think if i were you I'd wait for the TAG Lowrider to be released. Could be a hint of bias in there.....TEAM TAG!

That chassis from tag is the #1 thing on my want list! I have actually bothered him about the low rider and the front axle plate lol, I'm waiting for the day I can send him money and get the whole kit! I am hoping its a fair bit thinner than the stock one

Hit him up about wheels! TAG has very nice comp wheels that are priced far better than most CF ones on the market!
