Got the axles, knuckle weights, and RC bros steering parts installed. Spent most the day playing with hub widths and weighting to get it where I like it. What a cluster fawk of parts everywhere.... Biggest struggle I'm having now is steering throw, someone school me on where my servo needs to be located to get full throw with my new set up. Steering link is behind the axle, under the link mount. You can see where I've got the servo, played with my full axle length servo mount too and can't seem to get more throw no matter if I put the servo in the middle or all the way to the side. What am I doing wrong??? I'm only getting half throw no matter where I put it. |

Thanks! The widening kit gives you waaaaay more steering than you can actually use. Figuring out how to actually get it is what I'm struggling with! After messing with it for like 5 hours I had to just walk away... Someone school me on how to get full throw with my current set up.

Show me a pic of your steering at max throw now. You should have to much throw and be trying to install a stop to limit the throw. I have my servo mounted to one side of the axle, but it should not matter. I'm wondering if you have an issue with you tierod length. Take a look at my thread and see if that helps any. |

After messing with a few diff link set ups, seems the right combo was a hacked up LNC steering link, VP arms in rear and 1 RCBros arm up front. Had to make a servo mount out of some aluminum to offset the servo a little to get full throw. Theres LOTS of Caster in my setup which is what made it so challenging to get right. Compared steering now vs stock. With the extreme caster it's hard to really tell but it's a HUGE improvement! |

Got to drive in it's first comp this weekend. Took second place, chassis works great! I need to spend some time getting used to the stability it has and trusting it to settle itself down, it is near impossible to roll over. I did end up changing around hub widths, front wheel weights to the CI blanks, and SLW rear wheels. Shedded almost a full pound from the rig. Final weight RTR with battery is right at 4.6 pounds. Final front width is right at 11 1/8" and rear width is at 10 1/4", tracks great and has plenty of steering. |

What brand is your 13.5? I was much happier with a 13.5 over the 18. On your front and rear track width the rule of thumb is to stay within 1/2" of each other or less. I like to stay within 1/4". |

Thanks, I've been trying to figure out how to get some more width out back, I'm running the widest vanquish hubs right now. Need to see about some spacers or something... Motor is a sensored Novak ballistic crawler motor. What are you running?
