Made some links, a skinny little tierod out of tig welding rod, wraith shocks, and mounted the battery connector through the truss plate.

Made a 4link mount for the rear.

Its a roller.

It weighs 2.95 pounds (1338 grams) like this. Still need to add ESC, BEC, and RX. Was hoping for under 3lbs rtr but that's going to be tough to accomplish.

Thanks Weibe!

Got the 21t gears installed in the front axle. Had to leave one pinion shim out, two was too tight.

Wiring is done. Sidewinder micro under the servo, bec under the battery, receiver next to the servo. All wires are short as possible.

Motor is wired up and I made a front body post and attached it to the front shock mount spreader bar.

Be real curious to hear if those WB shafts hold up on a Losi.

I wonder too, but with all of the reduction in the axles I feel like there is a lot less strain on them. We shall see.

Cant wait to see how the Sidewinder Micro works out! I've got essentially the same drivetrain in the new Class 3 i'm building, but planned on running a MMP on 4S...

Looking forward to see this run!

Made some rear body posts and mounted up the body from my last comp rig from two years ago.

Cool direct drive outrunner can't wait to see this one in action. Although it would be cool to go body-less with it so you could show off the motor churning away.

Thanks Kurtis, I agree with you and that was my plan until I learned that sportsman doesn't allow bodiless. I'm sure I'll be running it a lot without the lid just so I can watch the motor...

Here's a link for the motor I'm using.
https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...ner_710kv.html

I've got the 710kv version. They make a 950kv version I might try if this one doesn't supply enough wheel speed.

Hope to take some video of it running this week.

First truck I've seen in a while that I care about. Very cool and very well made. I look forward to the video too, as I'm quite curious how the super slow start up speed will be with the sensorless. Looks awesome.

Very cool indeed! I'm not sure that 21:1/25:1 will be enough gear reduction for comp duties.

At any rate, an HH Revolver S would probably be the perfect motor for you.

Thanks, both of you. Means a lot coming from some of the OG LCC godfathers. I've been keeping an eye on the revolver S for years now, its definitely on my want list.

Current rtr weight is 3.15 lbs (1428 grams.) How does this compare to some of the other light weight sportsmans around here? I think somebody had a AX10 sporty under 3lbs?
