I've been outta rc for a couple years and have been slowly diggin out a few scalers here & there to fix & tinker with again. I got away from the comp aspect for several reasons. But reading this thread and seeing this build makes me want to build one like this. I dig the simplicity of it and also doesnt make me feel like I have to invest thousands of dollars to make a capable performing comp rig. Wish I would have seen this build sooner, it has definately given me the itch again....... or maybe my crabs are back....

After 18 months and two other owners, I bought this back. It's still in great shape, you guys didnt drive it much. I had to get some new shoes for her so I mounted up a set of RC4WD bully comp pins on some SUPERSHAFTY 2.2 prangs. The prangs are pretty dang light for an aluminum beadlock so surprisingly this combo didn't really add that much weight over the plastic buggy rims it used to have. |
