Default Weight bias and total weight..

I have made some change to my Losi to shed the max weight I can, and want some knowledgeable opinion!

I now sit at 4-1/4 pounds in running order with the battery.
With a weight ratio of F61/R39.

Should I shed some more weight or change the bias?

Trail fun or comp? When I dropped my comp LCC to 4 lbs I started failing at steep obstacles that my buddies could climb. So it's back to 5+ lbs. And back to climbing good.

Light weight is a good thing, but maybe not if it comes at the expense of a higher CG.

60/40 (approx) sounds fine.

Thanks for you input... Just have to make some test. But for now, the weight lost had made it a nimble little machine. The motor just push it way easier!

With all that transmission stuff up in the chassis, the lower bits (axle, wheel, etc) have got to weigh a certain amount to counter that weight for it to handle good. I took 4 ounces out of each wheel. Center of gravity moved way up, truck doesn't handle as good anymore. Nimble, sure but not as capable.

Weight bias is totally dependent on your preferences and terrain. An overall good balanced rig is gonna be better overall than an awkwardly balanced one. Kinda front heavy, but not crazy.
