| LNC stock motor question
Hey folks. I just replaced the stock motor on my Night Crawler, and wondered if anyone could tell me what the wire (with small inline cap) is that bridges between positive and negative pole. I'm new to brushed motors, and have not seen this on other brushed motors, and couldn't find anything in some basic searches. It can be seen in the photo below. Thanks |

It's just to prevent discharges that may interfere with the radio. Very common to have capacitors on brushed motors. |

Thanks Ollie. I didn't install the little "V" wire on the new motor (did use the original leads though). Think I should install this smaller cap/lead between the two posts of the new motor? Appreciate the help. |

You can first try running it without the capacitor. If there's problems you can always add the capacitor later on. |

Couple quick test runs seemed fine. I'll leave it off for now. Thanks for all the help. |

Caps were common when transmitters where AM or FM. No need for them now if you're on 2.4 giggities. In fact if you are 2.4 GHz, you don't need the black shrink wrapped things either. |

Aha. That makes sense. That's what Ollie must have been saying about the radios - just the WAY back radios Thanks for the clarification. |
