Man, you make some crazy cool stuff Ernie!

Do those knuckles just use XR/Wraith shims?

Looks like youre running FBA shafts too? If so, what length? Those Ascender axles just use a Axial inner tang?

Thanks Erik, yes on the XR/Wraith Shims. I think the FBA shaft are a must to achieve all that steering without a little binding. What I had to do was chuck up your axial length shafts and turn back the bearing seat almost all the way back to get the chub bearing to work. On the tangs, I have to file a little off the round part of the tangs and had to shorten each tang 1/8". Also needed to square up each of the chub mounts to get the knuckles to fit. I do the same thing when building the Codyboy Steering Without your knuckles. It is a nice fit and the axles weigh in at 14oz of non rotating mass and are SORRCA scale legal. You make a great product Erik, and I'm sure that isn't the first time you have heard that. I may be placing a order for a couple knuckles, this mod has generated just a little interest!

Awesome. Thanks for the info.

I am sure you already know this and just like to do things the correct way but you dont have to run the chub bearing. There are lots of cars I have made shafts for or tubes for and I simply eliminate them.

Yea, since it wasn't going to damage the integrity of your shaft, I wanted to try it to see if it would work.
Thanks
Ernie

Pretty sure he's talking about the bearing at the end of the housing/chub. All you need are the two bearings inside the knuckle.

Could you elaborate a little more about what happened with your bearing.
Maybe post a photo?;-

Pretty sure youre talking about the inner bearing on the knuckle? If so, make sure you put some loctite (red) around the inner and outer bearing. It will hold them in tight. You could also use some super glue.

On the LCC knuckles, there just isnt much engagement on the bearing. I dont know anybody else that has had the problem but wouldnt be surprised if it happened to most eventually. Simple fix though.

On another note, if you ever have an issue or question, you can always send me a message or email. Addressing problems in public might go missed as I am not guaranteed to see them.
