Building my 1st crawler and picked up an lcc roller. Thinking of picking up parts below to get it running. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mamba Max Pro
Castle BEC - do i need this since the MMP has an integrated BEC?
17.5 or 21.5t motor - which would you prefer and why?
Pinion - what would you suggest for 17.5 & 21.5 motor
Hitec 7950 servo
TX/RX - i have a futaba 2 ch that i want to use for now to get started then in the future will be getting a 3 ch to use the DIG

I prefer a 13.5T motor for the wheel speed. Everything else looks good.

I ran a 17.5 in mine years ago with a 12 tooth pinion (if memory is correct) and ran 3S packs (850mah)

13.5 would def give more wheel speed and is probably a better fit these days with equipment and batteries.

BEC yes - You want the servo to get strong voltage when the motor is pulling down on the battery.

If you arent stuck on the mamba max esc I would recommend the Tekin RS - its a smaller footprint and can still run 3S. Its programmable also with Tekins Hotwire.

Futaba 3PMX radio has a third channel switch on it and should be easy to find and relatively cheaper then the MT4 and higher end Futabas. But any 2 Channel is good. Plus if you dont use dig then you can run against of shaft trucks in the 2.2S class.

Going up against modern day MOA's if a tough task for shafties, it can be done and has been done and sure is fun to see them win.
