Here is a little update on the Axle mod.
The reason for the mod is to add more steering to your crawler. It is also called the XR mod because we use Axial XR10 universals, C-hubs and knuckles to achieve almost 65 degrees of steering, 20 more than the stock steering.
The service I provide is making and machining parts to build a kit for the modification.
Here are a few photos of the kit and how it would look after you install your parts.

The brass trumpets I make for the mod.

How it will look when you install your stock parts and the axial parts with mine.

A shot of the improved steering you will get with mod.

A shot of my Losi with one of the axles installed.

Any questions, just PM me.

Hey Steve, I'm just about done building these, I have a few of the brass trumpets left but I think those kits are spoken for. I have another member that I committed to building a axle in the near future, so I may as well do 2 if your interested. Here are pics of what would come in a kit. You would need axial chubs, knuckles and bearings, along with your losi gears and bearings to complete.

Here is a little update on the Axle mod.

I can't mention prices in this thread, so I will send you a PM with cost.

what class would this put you in, in the competitions? would this mod still allow one to run the lcc in its true sport/shafty class? axle width?

Just got my steering mod in. Ernie built me up with C-hubs, Dlux Knuckleweights ,better servo, links, KrazedBuilds CF axle-battery plate, everything needed to just plug and play!!!

I plugged in the servo with my Tx/Rx, and it centered axle first try.

It will be over a week before I can install and reset endpoints on my LNC, but everything is looking topnotch, and more than that, my experience has been that Ernie didn't mind all my newbie questions, was more than willing to work with me, did all the assembly except the obvious final install on my LNC.

He is using the new design that does not use zipties but glue.

It has been a while since I post up some new info on my axle upgrade, so here is a little update.
This is the 3rd complete axle build I've done in the month, so thought I'd post up some photos. These are going to Canada, thanks Vince!!
I'm also getting more requests for rear axles that are the same width as the fronts with the wide XR build. So guess I will start offering these also. All Losi axle builds are by order only.

This set has the Dlux front weighted knuckle.
Thanks for looking,
Ernie
