looks like you got the free set of pistons too! sweet goodies. some Ti links would definitely look good with the build.

I went looking for Lunsford grinder links and found that they don't make them anymore unfortunately. But they do make revo suspension pushrods which come in a few different lengths that happen to be perfect for sporty links.

| Re: Losi Steering mod design All of my rigs have revo push rods on them in one position or another. They can be drilled and tapped shorter as needed and they're tough. I really need to get Ti links on my sporty(s) though. They are pigs!

I think most do use revo rod ends since most links worth owning use 4mm ends. these are the push rods I use. They are kinda heavy but I trash on my beater rig hard and they haven't failed as of yet. |

The steel ones are better. Those were the norm for years on 2.2 trucks.

I thought I would show you a few more steps to building the brass tubes for the XR width. This is 1 of 10 steps to building these. The tubes have been turned down to 3/8" and have the chub mounts soldered on. The trumpet pieces cut to size and ready to solder on the shaft. Another step completed at the at the soldering table. Turned and fitted to the Losi casings All and all these take and average of 1.3 hours each to do from start to finish. Last edited by CODYBOY; 02-02-2017 at 12:52 PM. |

hey, you know what would be really cool... is if we could get clear axle cases to show off the shiny brass.

Here is what I finished today, Robbob's axle, almost ready ship! I want to take it up to Lunsford racing this week to talk with Kelly about the tubes. Here is what happens when you don't hold the axle casing tightly when drilling them out. The good news is it broke above the link mount, and for the scale width I cut them right at the link mount. What is that saying, " Making lemon aid out of lemons". Lucky break for me! So for you first five guys, got these in today, unis from Erik at Dlux Fab. And some Stainless Steel inserts for the uni to spool mod. Think I have all the parts to start building. Thanks for looking. Ernie Last edited by CODYBOY; 01-23-2017 at 09:55 PM. |

all of this has me wishing it was possible to have worms/pinions machined with a 10:1 or 5:1 ratio to make these axles more popular. high diff clearance, retarded steering, etc. that would be a killer setup!

I hav'nt had very much tiny truck time lately. Derrick (baconbits) has the set you sent him, but they hav'nt made it to Beef Tubes yet. Dan and Derrick are both going to a Comp out of state in February. I think the plan is for them to work together in person while in Florida together. | |
