LOSI Night Crawler 2.0...New To Me!!!! Battery Question

Hey everyone.

I just picked up a nice Night Crawler 2.0. It's my first full size dedicated crawler. I've got a 1/18th ECX Temper and have had quite a few trail trucks, but never one like this.

I'm hoping to get it over to a park that's somewhat local that has a crawling club. I don't know anyone in the club, and my days off at work don't typically work with group outings, so I'm hoping I can use the rocks along the bank of the creek in the park with no problems.

I'll be looking into doing the grease port mod, and other than that I'll be leaving it alone other than messing with shock settings until I break something.

I do have a question...the battery tray in it is HUUUGE...there's no real reason to run a battery that actually fits in there, is there? I have some nice 2s 2200mah packs that I use in my trail trucks that work great...would those work well in this?

Thanks!!

Yes, my son comps with his nd we use 3s 500 or 800 and that lasts 5 to 18min so that 2200mha should be perfect

Awesome thanks!!

I'm thinking about making a plate to mount the battery on the front links instead of way up high.

I need to get it out to the rocks to test it out. I really think I'm going to love it. My 1/18th is more fun than I would have ever imagined just around the yard...so I'm learning about lines and things like that on my rock pile with that. Hopefully some of the stuff I've learned translates to the larger, more powerful rig.
