I have the 1st generation LNC. One of the beauties of the LNC is that it is pretty strong right out of the box. It could use a more powerful steering servo (May require a BEC to prevent brown-outs). Other than that, getting the weight down low and some weight in the wheels are the biggest improvements you can make. You may eventually want to consider a 3S compatible ESC and a quality brushed motor, although I ran the stock ESC and motor for quite a while. Be aware, the diffs like lots of lube. I struggled for quite a while with what I thought were bad ESCs and motors only to find out it was dry diffs.

Upgrade the drive shafts. The stock drive shafts on the LNC and the new truck are terrible. The original Comp Crawler had really nice shafts, but they swapped to the stupid dog bone ones for the LNC. If you can find any, grab up some of the original Comp Crawler shafts. Otherwise, find something similar from an aftermarket company. "thumbsup"

I still have the original LNC driveshafts after 5 years. Can't imagine what the problem could be.

i've been considering a LNC 2.0 myself and was curious about upgrade parts availability. Also, does anyone know if the new LNC SE is any better than the 2.0? I don't like that it has the smaller 1.9 tires, but other than that and a new body, is anything else different or improved?
