Howard, let us know how those metal axle housing work out. From what I've seen alot of people prefer plastic...it slides over the rocks better. Luckily (judging from the pic), you will be getting the plastic housings as well so you can swap them out if you want to.

Im waitin on some parts for mine. Gonna flip my tranny around and get it facing the right way for a dig. Gonna cut some upper link plates out of plexiglass tomorrow and start putting in electronics. But the wk is always ready. Probably going to the lake with the kids wensday to crawl.

I was thinking about your output breaking the other day. I can almost be certain that it was because of the MIP steel shafts. If you would have been running a stock axial, the shaft would have just popped off. If you would have been running a stampede shaft, the yoke may have just slipped (which eventually ruins the outputs but they need to be replaced anyway). If you were running heavy duty outputs and stampede shafts, not a damn thing would have happened. just throwing out that info.

any updates on the rig?

yeah. hey there is a lot to learn im trying to comprehend it all. ha ha.

updates, well got the dig put together, replacing the broken output. got the crawler all apart right now, looking at things and putting it back together with 4 link. bought lipo batteries and a new venom pro charger from chris down at nitro shop. i think getting rid of the big arse brick battery will help a lot. still deciding to get a chassis. x-mas has $$ a lil tight, but i do like the slingshot chassis. i have also thought about putting this "green aluminum monster" back togethere and put it on ebay. then build one myself with the new knowledge im getting from all these sites. i think i bought a little early in my research.

Hopefully it will turn out all good.
