looking for something new to do

hello all i am seriously looking into rc rock crawling is there anything in the Knoxville area going on? i am looking for something different than racing since there are no longer any tracks in this area. i don't have a big budget so what is a descent chassis to start out with? thanks

Check out the competitions forum. ETRC (East TN Rock Crawlers) is having a competition at the Ocoee whitewater center on January 17. Looks like it will be a big one. Even if you don't have a truck ready, just coming to a comp like this will provide you with a ton of information. You can see the different trucks (maybe even drive one if you find a generous driver) and it will help you make your decisions as far as parts buying goes.
