Default New Places to Crawl

This is an update thread to the last one about Places to crawl. Please add any place you find or know of to crawl that hasn't been covered already between Chatanooga and Knoxville. Also update ones that you know have changed.

Panther Creek - Apparently not for Comps
Racoon Mountain Caverns - Not welcome
Pocket Wilderness Dayton - OK for Practice... not for Comps
Hiwasse River Appalachia Power House - Good for Comps plenty of parking (gravel road)
Cherokee Removal Park - Not enough crawlable Rock
Montlake GolfCourse - Welcome and plenty of parking but Rocks not comp worthy
MeRock - Good (pay) spot for events. Requires renting the place.
Chilohowee Campground - Big enough and good enough plenty of parking.
Whitewater Center - Current Comp site Enough Said But currently closed for the rockslide.
NorthShore - Current Comp Location

And that's all I got. Please post what you know of. Include what kind of parking is available, if crawlers are welcome, not welcome, or unknown...

If you know a number of someone to call or a contact, post that up too.

Care to post some directions, pics or a map? One of our members lives very close to there and could maybe check it out sometime. Are there any fees involved with the windrock mountain place? Comp worthy just means its big enough for 20-30 people and big enough for 3 to 6 (seven gate) courses at one time.

Thanks for the info

it would be easier to have them call me for directions. the spots are not hard to find but i could meet and show you where they are easier. just private message me and i will give my phone #. i did not pay any fees at windrock the spot sits in the corner of two public roads.

Here are a few others I took today playing around. Hopefully I can get you back up soon to help me clear other courses off. There are probably 20 or 30 of these type of rock formations here.

If its that close, you should hook up with Larry sometime (lt99ls1) and check it out.

He's a good guy even though he hardly ever shows up to ETRC comps

It is right off exit 32. It is still a work in progress, but hopefully it will turn out to be a nice spot. I will let you guys know next time I am up and you can come check it out if you like.

Hey Harvo, did you get North Chick in Soddy? Great place to crawl, questionable comp spot.

The place we went to at the foot of Aetna is a very promising spot. James and I talked about planning another trip when more people would be available to show up. There's room for multiple courses with lots of lines. Parking isn't too bad either.
