ETRC COMP Locations 2011 / 2012

Here is what we have to chose from...

South
Ocoee WWC
New Ocoee (you havent seen yet but good)
Chilohowee Rock wall
Golf Course Rocks
Dayton Pocket Wilderness

North
Northshore
Sunbright (Reflection's Place)

East
Hurricane Boat Dock (Finals location from 2010)

We have 7 comps if we take December off and the month of ECC.
To have equal comps North to South we need a new place up North, or repeat one twice. Hurricane is a haul for everyone so I would need the blessing of almost everyone to schedule one there.

So what do you say ETRC? October will be here soon. We can start at Northshore since we started South last year. From there... are you all OK with alternating N and S and use all the locations ?

Can we use that church in Knoxville that you guys were talking about for a while? If not, I suggest we do Steve's place twice instead of Northshore.

After I get some feedback from here, I'll start putting together the plan "thumbsup"

So give me feedback !

The spot next door to me is still open if we want to use it may have to do some clean up. Its as much to crawl on as steve's place maybe just a little smaller.

It's a little far fetched right now, but the thought of building a new spot up here has been on my mind. Got a few irons in the fire and things to deal with, but it's something I wanna do eventually. If all goes well, it'll be about 4-5 times the size of my backyard now.

I think the size of my backyard now is borderline to small with the size of the club now. It needs some work, rebuilding and clean up.

I say we double up at Northshore if nothing new is available.

I have always liked North Shore and we usually only use a small amount of it, is there parking over next to the waterfall, if so lets do a comp on that side.

We've run over there Rusty. Not as good IMO, but we can run over there, it is comp worthy.

Please keep us posted on the dates of the ETRC Comps. Especially Northshore - right in our backyard. I have been trying to get the ROCCK racing guys interested in crawling and attending a comp would definitely put them over the edge. It got me when I attended an ETRC event last year. Top notch!

Is this the best place to keep updated on dates?

Thanks in advance.

I'm good with bouncing around to different locations. I think steves place is more challenging but it's pretty far for some folks to hit twice. There's only about 30min difference for me between ns and reflection land 6min if randy drives so either is good.

How about a date for the first comp. Wife wants to go on a vacation around then and I don't want to miss the comp.

Hey Harvo. I was thinking about the church for a comp spot the other week when me and Dusty were there scaling. I've ran my xr10 there a few times. only problem I see is that the good spots are sometimes far apart for a full 4 course stage with 7 gates a piece. I would like to walk it with someone to map it out better that knows more about setting up courses then I do. There are some pretty tricky areas that do pose a challenge like dropping your tail end off the ledge and walking your front over the a divet a 14 to 16" before you can pull your rig back from the point of no return. Not a far drop but some places go up 10 to 20 ft. You'll just have to check it out and let me know. I am willing to meet you if your on that end of town. I know the area and Church Rock pretty well. Its great for scaling too!!!
