Is this mainly comp crawlers or for scalers?

We mostly run comp crawlers, but alot of us have scalers, and the Ocoee is a great place for them. I bet you wouldn't be the only one there with one if you showed up.

I am working on two of my crawlers for this event. The first one that is ready is going! Maybe this way, I will make a bunch of progress with both of them.

I might actually drag my big ole fur panty covered as.... er ahhh .... I might just be able to do this, might be a good reason to fix my motivator, it has been broke since I did not get to go to Nationals ( comp wise anyways ) might even run "HellBilly" on some comp lines. I will for sure have a scale rig or three with me!

I'm thinking we can start course setup at 10am and run by 11am, I'll bring score sheets, timers and gates.

Remember this is laid back comp and is NOT a part of the TN point series.

  2. Harvo
  3. Grandmasboy?
  4. easleycrawler?
  5. ax10tn

I may be able to make it. I am a relative newb and have never run an actual comp course but would like to meet some people and maybe learn a few things.

Grrrr. I can't get the dig on the tuber right. I may have to bring the 'Ridge up to see you guys. 67 oz/in. worth of Hi-Tek metal gear should be enough to engage a dig unit, right? At first, I thought that the epa on the DX3E was going bad, seeing as the servo would never return to the same position. Now, I have a new radio and the same problem. Any of you shafty guys have any input? The Ridgecrest is fun, just nowhere near as capable as my TCS Eclipse!

If there is anyone that has wanted to comp but has not then this is the perfect time to do it, don't be shy, we won't bite and will be happy to help anyone out with any questions. It is going to be a good time for sure.

I was never able to get a mechanical dig to work right unless I used a full sized servo. The smaller ones would kinda work but had problems centering and would eventually die. I sacrificed a little cog and put a 645 on it and it worked great.

Torch and I are going to try and make it if we can

Just like rockpayne said, this is the best time to run your comp rig and/or learn about them. We will be laid back, explain the rules and run courses on timer so you can get a feel of how a serious comp is ran.

I'd like to start course setup around 9:30 EST and start running at 10:30. Bring your sporty trucks too!
