Default New TN Comp Spot

I finally figured out how to use this place.

There is a big dirt road access parking spot right at the top of the rocks, but it's a LONG way on a smooth dirt road for a truck or SUV.

There is a huge parking area just on the other side of this walking bridge about 200 yards down, and one small parking area right by the bridge.

When we comp there, you will have options.

1- We will set a time for everyone to meet at the big parking lot. Me or Chad can take everyone an their stuff the 200 yards to the small parking lot and park the truck there.

2- If you are one of the first 5 or 6 vehicles there, you can get a spot in the small lot.

3- You can drive te dirt road and park at the top of the rocks.

The place is nice, and secluded. You can go any time and hardly see anyone there. If you have a trout stamp, bring your fishing gear and you can catch some trophy fish.

Anyway... here is a video of the place.

That is the place. Probably not January. I'm thinking March. When it starts warming back up.

Go up N. 411 out of Benton towards Etowah right before you cross the hiwassee river you turn right onto hwy30 towards reliance take it about 4 or 5 miles you'll turn left at a little store cross the river and immediately turn right onto Childers creek rd take that about 2 or 3 miles to another small store on the right turn there to the right and you'll see signs that says powerhouse . That should be pretty accurate Harvo might have exact mileage

Or, you can go just like you are headed to the Whitewater center, turn left on Hwy30 and it takes about 20 minutes. Only about 5 minutes more than it takes to get to the WWC.

Easy enough. Might have to take your advice and bring the fishing rod.

Ah yes, still here but taking it easy for a little bit, trying to get some projects built and done, getting my shop clean and organized ( rewired and wood heat and organize so I can find and get to things ). Will be out there again pretty soon, just got to get motivated for comp crawling again...

I agree, January is a cold month for that spot. The wind channels through there and just chills you to the bone! There is easily an acre of rock there, just pay attention to the release schedule. TVA: Apalachia
