I am going to go down to the creek on Sun to run my truck on the rocks. If you have never seen the creek when it is dry, you have no idea how much rock there is available to crawl around on. This one is going to be a little different, though. Instead of meeting early, I'm thinking about meeting later in the afternoon. The reasoning behind this is that the sun hits the creek pretty quick in the morning, so to stay out of the direct sun we would have to meet crazy early and I'm not really feeling that. However, the area I am thinking about concentrating on is down the way a little and is almost completely covered in shade by 5:00. Now I'm sure this may exclude some, and include others, but it's rare that I am getting the day off and while I can, I am going to go play on the rocks when it's not so bloody hot. Meet at 4, and crawl until it's dark or the batteries are gone. This is a hike, not terribly long, but you will need anything and everything you might want, INCLUDING LOTS OF WATER. I hope to see some of you out. Here is a map |

Good luck, the heat is killer, we are facing the same problem down here, chasing the shade. I'm beginning to envy the Yanks and their indoor arenas...LOL
