| West TX/ Southern NM Jackpot Crawl
Alright folks, time for a new thread. Stealing the idea from the northern boys, we will be holding a jackpot crawl down here as well. Those of you familiar with the Las Cruces crawl spot, we will hold it at Little Moab. When: Sunday Feb 22. (Day after Chile Challenge ends, so don't break your sh!t playing out there) Lets plan on 12:00, noon for quick meeting, kick off crawling 30 minutes later. Here's how it will work: 30 gates, 15 or 20 min time limit (TBD), USRCCA rules. I volunteer myself to judge, need at least two others. Going in a winner take all format, and TEAMVALADEZ HOBBIES has graciously donated a $25 Gift Certificate to the winner. Lets try to get at least 10 guys out there, I know we have them in the area. I will update this thread as more details are unveiled, will try to get some pictures and maybe video to show the terrain we are working with. Who is coming: 1. Brett Jordan (myself) |

Ill try to make it. You will have to confirm directions for us Texans, or just for me. I think I know the place but just to be sure. I have to get approval for the Boss (My Wife). Ill let you know for sure. I will also need schooling on the rules and how to drive for sure. |

Thanks everybody for coming out today, I think a great time was had by most. Unfortunately, I am already hearing a negative, so I personally will NOT be putting on another one down south (Edit- I will be more than happy to setup courses and run them with everybody, but when prizes are involved, forget it). Tried to be as fair and unbiased as possible, but PLEASE let me know any comments you all had about todays event! Final Scores- 1. Brett (-2) 2. Byron (-1) 3. Jorge (2) 4. Ahron (42) 5. Brian (50) 6. Adam (51) 7. Ben (69) 8. Sam (85) 9. Joe (DNF) 10. Andrew (DNF) 11. Jorge JR. (DNF) We ran a 20 Gate course that was fairly long, with 3 bonus lines. Time limit was set at 20minutes, with no point limit. To those of you that enjoyed yourselves, THANKS! See you on the trails, Brett |
