Talking "Rock The Lake" TXRCRCA Social Event

October 2nd
Belton Lake
10 am

This is allitle something different. A TXRCRCA Social event.
for scalers and comp rigs- we will be free runing them both. no scores. we will set up courses for the comp trucks and trial ride the scalers.
The location can only be reached by boat, ill be taking care of that, and transporting everyone.
BYOB- bring your coolers and lawn chairs and your favorite adult beverage.
Wives and G/fs welcome
I can bring a grill if someone wants to bring hot dogs or something
If i can find room ill bring us a pop-up shade
if your late i can come back for you, only a few minutes from boat ramp/parking/bathrooms.
brings swim trunks- due to low water levels, and the boat being an inboard most likely you will have to wade to and from the boat (knee to waist level) id also suggest flip flops, sandals, crocs? etc for footwear, water proof and easily removable. but you could carry shoes when wading im sure as well.
i will also give wake surfing and wakeboarding lessons to anyone who cares to try it.
will be an awesome time. water, sun, crawlers, beer, and a good day of fun.

just look for the yellow banana boat

What would make you think anyone would be that thoughtful? State finals has been on my birthday for the last 2 years and I didn't even get so much as a Happy birthday bud.

Maybe not everyone but I know all the ETRCC guys knew as well as all the leaders and BWD drivers.

took the boat out and went and walked the location today. man saw some sweet lines. and tons of room/long runs. so much potential. be sure to bring your comp rig too if you have one, there were some sick 10-16" ledges out there, a ton of them.
theres a nice flat grassy area too ill set up a pop up shade and BBQ grill.

Corey, this is a fantastic idea and VERY generous on your part! As we discussed, I'll have to head out around lunchtime or thereabouts, but I'll do my damndest to be there before 10am to try to get in as much crawling as I can before I have to leave. I'd love to take a raincheck on the watersport lessons, though!

I'll bring my 2.2 scaler so get your military Jeep finished or have another 2.2 rig so we can drive over all the 1.9's!

Look like the people couldn't make it missed out on on good time.

Sorry I couldn't make it. Too much going on this weekend.

Next time though! Maybe I will have a rig.

Cory, thanks for putting this together and for offering your boat, grill, etc.! Had a great time. I just wish I could've hung out later. Maybe we can do a winter run sometime soon and just hang out on the "beach" all day with a grill, some beverages, and the crawlers. I think it'd be a blast even if it's chilly! That was a FANTASTIC scale spot and I can't wait to get out there again soon. Definitely a good call!

I only have a few pics, but here they are.... Did you sort through any of the video yet?
