RESULTS

NTXRCC Season 4, Comp 2

Our first comp of the season was a great success. We had lots of out of state visitors and crazy weather that made for a very interesting comp. Our second comp is going to be a little sooner than what was scheduled, we had too much fun at the first comp to wait until after the holidays. This time I'm looking to have it in the DFW metroplex. Here are the details.

When: November 20th, 2010.

Time: Course setup, 9am. Drivers meeting, 9:30. Comp start, 10am.

Where: Murrell Park, Lake Grapevine.

Map: Park in the location marked by the yellow circle.

Im up for anything in the Metroplex.....Warehouse, Grapevine Lake, Marine Creek.

I hope I can make this one, as last weekend I was at a Y-Guides campout.

Demonspawn, I have heard suggestions that the warehouse is back in play, but then comments it is not. If I recall you office near there, is it back up and running?

Ya I work next to the warehouse and drive by it everyday. I have no clue if it is or not, but I have seen the guys on trials bikes out there once or twice a week and have talked to them. They said they havnt ran into any problems out there and no one has said anything to them about being out there.

I will be there, might be without a rig thou as mine is for sale so I can build a berg! If it doesnt sell I will bring it and run it, if it does then I will still come and help judge, but I will need some help learning the judging ropes!

Ok guys, location is now posted. We'll have this comp at Murrell park on Lake Grapevine. I have heard that they are charging to enter the park now. I went on Sunday and they didn't ask for any money, so be prepared either way. They did ask me what I was doing, to continue our use of the park, do not mention that you're going to play with RC trucks. Just say you're going to meet some friends and enjoy the weather, it's worked for me a couple times. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Otherwise, see you all bright and early on the 20th

Probably I-35 denton if i was guessing haven't looked yet

You will probably get better rates in denton or lewisville.
The grapvine area has kinda gone rich yankee on us.

We used to in the beginning, but there were too many people who wanted to go to church on Sunday. So all our comps are on Saturdays now.

Here is the video I got at comp one. I had my kids with me at Big Rocks and it was kinda nerve racking. I won't be bringing them to Grapevine so I should be able to get a lot more video.
