The server it is located on was hacked. Apparently the idiots got into the root of the server and f'd it up pretty good. As soon as it comes back online we'll get it straightened out. Last edited by Locked Up; 02-20-2011 at 10:30 AM. |

The latest is that they have the server slowly coming back to life. Trust me, nobody is more upset than I am about this. Just a bunch of pricks somewhere that wanted to mess with another site hosted on that server and we went down with it. I'm going to bed exhausted from taking out my frustration on the Xbox. I tell you what, sticking an explosive tip crossbow bolt to someones leg and watching them try to outrun the inevitable explosion ... |

Update for the site... Kenny has replaced the hardware for the server and is currently loading all the software. We hope to have to back up in a day or two. The delay sucks, I know, but this was basically like someone walked into server room with a blowtorch and roasted everything. So it's taking longer than the typical single site hack recovery. I'll keep yall posted as I hear more. |

Man, that sucks. What motivates anyone to do that kind of crap? It always boggles my mind. Anyway, thanks for working on this, Patrick!

Going forward, James has ponied up some $$ for additional security and he and I have talked about some better disaster recovery options. So if anything like this ever happens again, we'll be back up faster. Essentially I'll be keeping a full copy of the site on my PC and we'll be backing up the data more frequently. Kenny is the one trying to pull the data off the destroyed drive. So he deserves the gratitude for anything we recover. On the bright side, James and I have already started talking about doing some giveaways to celebrate our return. I think you guys will be happy with what we come up with. | |

Once he gets a few more things ironed out I can go back to working my white ninja magic .... which is less subtle but still gets the job done. It's still not really usable right now because there are some components that need to be loaded. Might actually be a good idea to not post a bunch of stuff over there till we get it sorted out. Hey Patrick, Just out of curiousity, I visited our forum to see how bad the damage was, browsing the For Sale section and... Damn! If I would of known you still had a set of VP XR10 knuckles, I would of took them off your hands... I just bought a set yesterday. Keep up the good work fixing all our problems lol |
