we have be talking about starting a TXRCRCA east region(houston). what are yalls thoughts. then we could have a year end state finals(with all regions) and qualify for the nationals. please chim in. we could add a forum just for you guys. however it takes alot of work and dedication to orginize and host an event. follow the rules and scoring. etc. its definatly not just "playing with trucks" once you starting doing comps. its alot of work. just wanna make sure you guys understand the dedication it requires. im looking forward to it. i wouldnt mind coming to yalls events from time to time. |

I'm in for "playing with trucks"... and would see where it goes from there. I don't have a comp rig, but would be willing to go to events and make the crowd bigger... I'm just not dedicated enough to run it, or to drive a long distance for it... maybe later though. Anyone looking for a great place to play might wanna call spring creek offroad and see what they say about playing on the W E ROCK leftovers. Normal fee is $10... not sure if they'd let R/C in free or not... maybe that's wishful thinking . There is plenty of terrain out there. Also, much of it was geared for comp buggies.... so the "regulars" won't be bugged by you standing around driving R/cs.... they couldn't even get into the rivines. |

In up for "playing with trucks". I just got my first rig today, so I dont think im ready for comps just yet. My rig has won 3 comps, so i just need to learn how to drive. Im in the sugarland area. Shoot me a pm and I will be glad to meet somewhere.

well we at southside raceway are building a rock crawling course but it kinda dropped off cause no one was coming so if you can think of ways to make it work come on out at southside just off the beltway towards deer park bout a mile on red bluff its small now but we will build bigger if we can get people out there plus theres a off road track and an 18th scale track also

Me and a buddy from College Station are having a blast with the Houston crew. We drive about 1.5 to 2 hrs to compete but it is definitely worth it. They are planning on coming to College Station to have a gtg in Feb. Fun and competition here, nothing stressful but lots of fun.

TXRCO will be having a GTG in Humble on Saturday, Feb 16th. This would be a great time for anyone who hasn't been out to one of our meets to come out, meet some people, and "play trucks". Here's the meet info: http://ripper7racing.com/r7rforums/s...ead.php?t=2482 |
