Default anyone in fort worth area?

I am wanting to meet up with some folks who enjoy this hobby like I do. ive been lurking rccrawler for a while but have not registered so this is my first post. I have been scouting areas to go to and have found a few, samson park being one and this little wash out here in aledo which is pretty freaking sweet just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in doing a meet up at some point!!!!!!

Travis,
I have the Hobby Shop in Weatherford and I'll put your info up on the wall for any crawlers that come in. Unfortunately crawler sales have dropped dramatically lately for me , but I am trying to get more guys into it.

We have a fairly active scale group that seems to have something going on every week it seems. Comp crawling club gets together every month during fall to spring. check out ntxrcrc for updates.

txrcrca is the texas forum, there you will find the ntxrcc section ( compeptition based group of crawlers in the north tx area ) and the dfw crawler section ( scale group for dfw )

its not a real active site like rccrawler is, but its your best bet for keeping in tune with whats going on in the dfw area.

Hey guys, my father in law and I both recently bought Losi MRC's. I just got mine all put back together after installing a slingshot chassis, servo and a bunch of other parts. It's a shame that crawling seems to be on the decline. We visited family in California and it seems to be doing really well over there (that's how we got into it). We're building a course in the backyard and are definitely looking for people to meetup with and competitions.

Thanks for all the replies guys and Eric thanks for contacting me. I feel like if we had more spots to go to it would make this part of the hobby a little more active. Like I know their are a ton of things to do down in Austin, which was great but that's Austin not near Fort Worth. I am going to keep scoping out cool places and just make a thread of spots to go check out

Cheers travis

I just moved into the Fort Worth area last week and have a scaler. I'm always on the lookout for someone to crawl with. This time my job may let me go some Saturdays.

I have a place on my property that i use for crawling. My house is just south of Benbrook Lake between Crowley and Godley. If you want to crawl we get together and run on most every sunday evening. I also have a full Rc short course track as well. HMU if you want to come out.

im in Arlington and my father in law is from Kennedale and we both crawl. we like going to mikes hobby shop in dallas from time to time as well as wherever we find rock piles or pits or whatever along the road. fahter in law is in the process of making a rock "garden" in his back yard for crawling.

im originally from benbrook and if im not mistaken, i do think i remember some nice rocky areas around the lake somewhere. anyone know where i might be thinking of?!?
