Good luck with the Texas group.

just a bit of assistance. I know you said no one is really in charge. But you will need to have someone "run" it. So in a way someone will be in charge. I would suggest a point man so to speak have everyone involved choose who they want to take the rains and get everything organized. If you don't then it will fail. Get a Website as well it may help start some interest.

Another thing TX is big so you may want to make 2 groups North/south or east/west and appoint some one to take the lead in the other one. At least twice a year meat up and have a TX's comp.

Register it with the US rccrawler group. (I'll find a link) and this way you get some guys invited to the nationals. Because the go by points for first invites from what I understand.

I was asked to help with the WA one but I'm to busy. And I may move to Texas in the (way off) future, around Austin/Dripping Springs area.

Discuss these issues with the others that are interested and search the forum for members.

I'll find some links.

ok, we are working on a site, and i like the idea of splitting the group up, im think ill take the central and south texas, and Rusty can take the east and nort texas, and STANG can take the rest, i can put Rusty or STANG in charge of all the Comp and GTG stuff worked out (times, dates, locations, stuff like that) tell me what yall think of this

RustyCrawler 09-12-2006 03:02 PM

BOWTIE 09-12-2006 05:19 PM

good thing you're breaking up texas into sections. the size of our state is the only thing that is that might give you guys problems.

Why do they need to know ? They don't have comps or much of gtg's to begin with.

Btw to rusty and eric.... Good luck to get people to commit to get a gtg or comp going... plus it seems like there alot more them that are into crawling up in d/ftw area anyways.

Imo I dont think they drive down here, it like a 5 hour haul to sa and they always invited me to go up there, but damn that long haul just to go crawling for few hours and then drive back. I don't have problem them guys, just seems like stuff comes up with them. Is my take on it.

insanerc 09-12-2006 07:42 PM

i see what you mean.. it's hard for all to get together at one time because of the area that our state covers.
anyway having a texas association is a great idea. it would of been nice to have someone represent texas over in moab.
