Hey folks. After 37 years of making my way from Cali to OR to WA I bailed on the west coast and settled in Whitehouse,TX. I am wondering where some of your favorite spots are. I checked out White Oak which myself and the kiddos loved. Just driving around I have found some great spots around south of Tyler. Any other particular places that are RCC top secret? I have joined some FB pages and see some but always looking. I will be going to future get togethers as I see them pop up. look forward to meeting some new people!

I'm just down the road in Bullard. Check out the dam at Lake Palestine. One of my favorites, plus it's 15 min away There are a few Facebook groups for the area as well: East Texas RC Crawlers White Oak RC Park FCC-Futuristic Crawl Cave Tyler TX Rock crawler RC club page North Texas Scale Crawlers covers more towards Dallas but they have cool events. Lindsey Park and Faulkner Park both have bike trails that guys go on trail rides on. Hope that helps. We'll meet up soon and go. Welcome to East Texas, I'm also right down the road in Bullard. Once it warms up we usually have meets the 1st Saturday of the month at White Oak doing the Activated Outlaw rules. I know some of our other local members have been in talks with the city of Bullard to see about a crawler area at the park so hopefully something happens with that some time soon. |

Hey guys!! Well lots happened since my post. Been here a bit now. Absolutely love it here. Been out with a few groups and some great places. If you are in the Whitehouse area come and say hi. Wife and I opened a hobby shop "Shaka Hobbies". 203 State Hwy 110 N, whitehouse TX. Had an opportunity and went for it We checked out the FCC at Kevins lastnight. So awesome, our youngest did not want to leave! lol Oh yeah, not crawler related but we race Mini-z cars every other Saturday in the shop.... its kick, info can be found here Shakahobbies.com. Anyways, thank you all for the welcome, look forward to meeting ya! |
