Default New Hilux Wheels-Are Yours Chrome Or Black Chrome?

Just bought a new Hilux at my LHS. He had just got it in last week. The wheels are regular chrome, not black chrome like I've seen on some of the older build threads. Anyone else notice this?

Nope, all the rest of the trees and parts are the black chrome. Just the wheels are bright chrome.:-(

All my parts are black chrome, and the s-10 wheels are a matte finish, I don't think that those wheels came in strait chrome

Corey, yep, lose the black, keep the chrome. All you have to do is wipe it on and keep wiping til the back washes off, then rinse with water. Won't hurt the chrome as long as you're not using steel wool.

Aaron, mine came with bright chrome wheels. Exactlly the kind of finish that I wish they'd done the rest of the parts in. The original Pajero/S10 rims are matte chrome.

acetone free nail polish remover will take the black right off as well. And its cheap.

It takes the black right off the chrome pieces:

It will wipe right off. Just dump some on a rag and get wiping.

I stand corrected. Take a real good look at your "chrome" wheels and tell me they're not just a little dark?

I hit mine with some flat clear today, and that brings out the dark color. Sort of a light gunmetal.
