Exclamation LOSI ROCK CLAWS Supersized

I was looking at the Losi Aftershock tires and decided to make a 40 size version. I only made one mock up for measure and they're huge! They're placed next to a 2.2 Rock Claw, then the 3.2 (stock starting size MT Claw)

I'll get the other three done and mount them on my rig real soon.

Here's a few picks of the Monster of Rocks.

Were you, or will you, be able to use one extra tire to make 4 of these or will it take 2? The one you made looks great, exactly how tall is it?

looks like he had to add about a sixth of another tire to it so it probably won't even take a whole tire. for the height just take the original height of the tire and add the difference of the two rims. In this case I believe the tires stock are about 7" then the 40 series rims are something like an inch taller than standard size so I'm guessing in the ballpark of 8 inches? am i right?

We'll need an all day safety meeting for 12 of these.

I should be able to use only one extra tire to make them this size.

Yup, 8" of pure stump pulling traction. Here is a view of how much I needed for the gap.

They are Supersized for a Super (40 series rim)

I cut two aftershock tires in half, then glued the two together. After the glue set-up I put them on the Axial beadlock rim narrowed to 1-3/4" wide. Once I had half the bead in place in the rim, I measured how far I need to cut to extend them to 40 series. It was about 2" on the bead and about 4" on the tread. Then cut off the excess and save for the next tire. Glue back together and bingo, a Supersized Rock Claw.

Dude you have skill. Those look very good.

What type of glue did you use?

How long till you finish the other three and try them on the rocks?
