Default Traxxas Slash 2.2" Tires and wheels

A new scale tire ?
Or crawler tire ?
What do you think?
Click the image to open in full size.
Designed for all-terrain action, each corner of the Slash is equipped with soft-compound tires that are mounted and pre-glued on impressive 2.2" satin-finish wheels. The tires deliver the perfect balance of forward traction and side bite on asphalt, dirt, and any other surface you throw at them. Performance tuned foam inserts help keep the truck firmly planted through the most extreme power-sliding turns and on the most demanding off-road terrain.

look like a good scale tire. Maybe not the best crawler. Hows the compound?

I would say it will not be a good crawler tire, not even close, but I think it would look good on a scale rig.

Smile Nice looking tires

Do they use 12mm hexes?

Will they be sold umounted?

Last edited by Phatmac; 04-17-2008 at 03:18 PM. Reason: I meant 12mm, and hate to look like a stupid newbie.

I cross referenced a few parts with the ´pede and the suspension arms and related components are the same, the differential/transmission seems to be the same etc..
They are 12mm hex. If U want 14mm hexes U can use the ones from the WK

if they were M2 compound and had a thin carcuss, i think the tread lends its self to a great crawler tire.
but yes i will be a welcome tire in the scale arena. will look good on my trophy truck build for sure.
