Default Tire Testing

Done a lil 2.2 tire testing this week out at a place called Battle Park. Its a place where we have recently been crawling and its awesome to say the least. Pretty good for the East coast anyway. We had wet, dry, step climbs, side hill'en, and some almost vertical situations, logs, mossy rock and some other stuff if thats possible. With that said, on with the results.

Wheels= 2 sets eight shooter bead locks (8 wheels)
tires=Masher 2000 M3 1 set of 4
tires= Losi rock claws 1 set of 4
lead was used to weight rims

tires were set up with the same weight in fronts and rears for both sets. fronts weigh in at 9 oz each and rears weigh in at 6.5 oz each. Star cut fomes with pattern to make sure all were the same.

I ran the same corse with both sets of tires mounted in the direction they were designed to be used and then turned them around and ran them in the reverse direction. Ran the corse 4-5 times to make sure i covered all i could think of. It is fair to say that condition were the same seeing it was all done the same day with the same truck Axial Ax10.

The Masher 2000 M3 compound are a tic taller than the Losi Rock Claws. and do side hill very well, but it does'nt matter the Losi tires out preformed the Mashers in every situation I could throw at them. The Mashers are excellant tires but just were not in the same class as the Losi tires for this location The losi worked best in the reverse mounted set up at this test as well as did the Masher. For what ever reason they both like the tarain better mounted backwards. I hope this info helps with anyone looking at getting a set of tire and is on the fince on what to do. The Losi handled everything that we threw at them with no trouble to speak of. We now have them mounted on all 3 of our AX 10's

The claws are proven tires, no doubt.

The question I always ask myself though.

IF I gave the gatekeeper my truck with my mashers on it, and he gave me his truck. Would that mean that I could beat him every time?

:-P

Nope no pics. I did take the camera but i was having to much fun to think about the pics. I want to shoot a vid but I don't have a camera person. I was just wondering which tire was better for the type crawling we were doing and decided to test'em out to see what was what. just seems that the losi worked best on our trucks setup. I wish we had a digs for our trucks they would really be good then. and they aren't bad now.
