Default Beadlock screws

I bought a set of used axial beadlocks and they came with button head screws on the outside beadlock. All the other ax10 beadlocks I have or have seen have the stock cap head screws on them. Well obviously the button head screws dont get hung up on rocks like the cap heads do but I cant find them anywhere. I am pretty sure they are 2x10mm screws but everywere I look I cant find a button head in that dimension. Are you guys running these and if so where do you buy them from? thanks

I too have been looking to get button head screws to replace the socket head screws on my Axial beadlocks. All I've found so far are m2x8mm screws here: http://www.microfasteners.com/catalo...cts/METSBM.cfm

I think they would probably work.

Even better than button heads, I countersunk my beadlock rings and used 2x12mm screws. Gets hung up way less.

Considering that they are a "larger outside diameter and are longer then the stock screw" I doubt they would make a good replacement.

So you counter sunk the screws and went with screws that were as longer as the bead lock is thick? Pics?

Those are actually a little larger diameter for those who have stripped out holes. If they put the size, then you wouldn't buy them there would you(not that that's the reason the size isn't listed)

I countersunk the bead lock, and used matching screws that were longer to provide better grip and prevent stripped holes. The face of my bead locks is now completely smooth. Sorry, I don't have any pics.

Try a 2-56 x 1/2 SAE screw , should work , only slightly larger than the stock 2mm screw. If they fit then you can get them here per 100 count .

Search locally for a fastener supply place. I got a great deal on the screws I used for my beadlock mods. Cost was about 30% of what I would have paid at the hobby shop.

So I went out and got some button head screws from my local Fastenal store. I got some 2-56 x 3/8" Button Head Socket Cap screws rather than the 1/2" because they are only .5mm shorter than the stock 10mm screw while the 1/2" is 2.5mm longer. The 2-56 is barely thicker than the stock 2mm screw but I had no problem screwing it in.

To install these you need a .050" hex wrench. I was able to find a kit that included one at my local hardware store. One thing I learned is to go slow putting the screws in as you can round out the hex socket eaisly if you don't take your time. Here's a couple pics comparing the button cap to the socket cap and the final look of the wheel.
