Default What are these tires in this pic from RCX 08

Found this picture that someone posted. Are these some new wheels & treads coming from HPI?

From that pic, I'd say so - everything else is HPI.

I'd say so from the looks of it Corey.
Maybe it's part of the crawler conversion kit for the Wheely King...

hmmm looks interesting. like a hollowed out masher but it looks like it might have some lug fold over. wheels aren't very exciting. unless their price is a good deal then they aren't much different from an axial.

They look very promising! Anybody have an insider that can shed some light on the matter?

cool to see another tire and beadlock option, but why does everyone with plastic wheels use such small hardware? Why can't they step it up to m3 or at least m2.5 hardware?

I agree, and why not come up with another wheel design. The HPI Beadlocks look like the other peoples, Not exact but close enough for me not to need them.

Cool tire. Any idea how tall it is? Looks to be 5.25-5.5.

sounds weird, but it looks soft in the pic (judging by the sheen, or lack of)

When i was at the show today. I asked a HPI representative if these were from them. And he said yes, That the Beadlocks are going to come out soon. But he did not tell me a release date. And the tires, he said they are still tweaking on them tring to find the right thread pattern and the compound. The tires were very soft when i touched them.
