Well I just ordered 2 sets of the Pro-line Hammer's M2 compound and was wondering what foams I should run in them. We are running Axial AX10 Rigs. I have a new set (4) of Ruby Red Kreepy Foams I can use if you guys think they are a good choice. But keep in mind I'm doing 2 trucks. So I have to buy a set of foams of some kind to do the other if I use the Kreepy's I already have. What would you guys use with these tires.

You can order them with the memory foams, at no extra cost. But there's a chance he didn't.

No the M2's come with standard foams only, The M3's come with either. Trust me if I could have gotten the M2's with memory foam thats what I would have ordered. And the Pro-line Memory foams are on back order everywhere I'v looked for them. The place I got the tires (TCS) had the M3's with the Memory foam and standard, but I was told by Dirk to get the M2's for my location, and they would be a better choice once they brake in. He said the M3's seem to have a bit to much fold over for what I want them for.

Personally I feel the proline memory foams are to soft, after getting a set I didn't even mount the rest of the tires up with it. With my M3 hammers I am running full uncut proline regular foam, won the first comp with that setup too.

I just went to A Main Hobby's and they had the Pro-line Memory foams in stock. I bought the last 4 bags they had. If they are to soft I'll find out. They were only $21 bucks shipped with my store credit so if they are to soft I aint out to much. I'm willing to take the chance just to see what they are all about and compair them to my Kreepy foams. If they're to soft I may just order another set of the Kreepy's. They work good in my Claws. I looked at the Ace foams also. Bender was telling me about some Foams called "Trachtech" dual stage foams. but I cain't find out anything on them anywhere. Have you guys heard of these and or where to get them.

I had no idea the Hammer M2's were even offered with the memory foam. Everywhere i checked Including (both of the LHS in town) only offered the Hammer m2's with standerd foam and did not offer the option of M2's with memory foam but they did offer or say they could get the Hammer M3's with either one. the LHS did'nt even have the tires in stock. Any way I did get the tires ordered as well as the foams so I'm covered. any other suggestions on a foam set up for this tire.

I just put you in my Favorites RPP Hobby. Looks like we'll be doing some business in the near furture. Checked out your sight and it looks like you guys are a lil more into the rock crawlers than some of the other places I have been shopping. I been trying to get my LHS to carry the crawler parts but they are having trouble getting the stuff due to it being on back order and I also think they would rather cater to the racer. They have a really nice facility with a dirt oval and a new offroad track and I thinks thats their focus. But I have managed to sale 7 crawlers (AX10's) for them in the past 2 weeks, along with all the stuff to go with them. The owner called me a couple days ago and asked if I could get him up a parts list of what I thought would sale or brake. I did. We will see. I have 3 Axial now and all of them are slowly becoming comp ready rigs. We have more fun with the crawlers than any other rc we own. Any way thanks for getting me straight on the Foams thing. I'll spread the word for ya.

I run my M2's with Aces and I really like the way they respond. M3's were too soft.

We too have the M2 Hammers with the Pro-Line memory foam in stock. Our sources also tell us the M3s are too soft and that the M2s perform a bit better.

To set the record straught My LHS's 2 of them, told me the M2's only came with standard foams and the M3's were the one to get if the memory foam was what I wanted. Plus all the places on the Net I looked only offered the m2's with standard foam as well, but offered the M3's with both. So only being informed on what I was reading across the net and what My LHS was telling me, I thought the m2's were only offered 1 way. It had nothing to do with trying to confuse anyone with the wrong data. I was not uninformed just misinformed by folks I thought knew what they were talking about. I had no reason to think other wise. Last edited by Truggies; 04-24-2008 at 07:35 PM. | |

Who cares what you do for a living and who you deal with. The fact is you were wrong. All you had to do was go to Proline's site and get the right info. | |
