I suspect that they're perfectly good, but I'd go a route that didn't involve cutting up a bunch of tires. Just go with another tire that is that height already. With all the new introductions on the market, there are plenty of good options.

If you are looking for a taller tire I would bet that those are one of the best. I don't think there is any OEM tire that is on the tall side that would even come close to competing with it.

The tires do look great, but look around and I'm sure you will find something comparable for a lot less. There are other better mods you could do for your $100. | |

the reason they cost so much is they take multiple tires to make them, plus the labor of cutting and gluing. If you wanna run tall tires those or making them yourself is the only option. My only concern would be with sidehilling and rolling. But if you keep getting hung up on diffs then they are a good choice for a little more clearence.

well I have wk axles so the diffs are low, but wouldn't some stiff foams that are cut star shape allow it to be able to have good side structure but allow the tire to fold slightly?

yes, but it may require a stiffer foam than a shorter tire due to the higher COG and more rubber to deform (same reason low profile tires work better in hard cornering reguardless of pressure) Last edited by nj05nismo; 04-23-2008 at 02:27 PM.

I made a set. They worked real well, BUT sidehilling sucked. I would just roll.
