I had a set of Junfacs and axial, I personally like the axials better. I have no experience with the 8 shooters so I have no comment on them.

I use all axial wheels, they are nice and narrow and have NEVER had a problem with the screws. But the trick isnt the wheels, its installing them, take a bit of finess and ONLY do it by hand. Doesnt matter who's wheels you buy, the holes are going to strip out if you get rough with them. I know alot of the reason for the metal wheels is weight, but i just use stick on weights you can get at the auto part store, you cant get alike 12 oz worth of weight for a couple bucks. Reason I havent tried JunFac wheels, I cant find with width measurement for them and I prefer that the tires be wider than the wheels when installed. Just my thing.

Peeps run metal for either the look, the weight, or don't want to strip a wheel hex

I haven't seen the Junfacs, but I've played with the Axials and Prolines, and like the Axials better. The Prolines seem to strip more easily, and I think they're too narrow.

I have all Axial wheels and glued the hexes in before any stripping started. I've gone through a few sets of slipper gears for my WK and have yet to strip a wheel hex. I'm not shy with the skinny pedal either...

How long your bead locks last and what brand of bead locks can somewhat depend on the amount of voltage, motor and gearing you run. I've stripped more bead lock hexes and plastic hexes with higher voltage and low gearing. I never had the problem with a 6 cell sub C. The newer axials have done well, and gluing in the hex helps, but I have stripped the hex itself, not the hex on the wheel. If you crawl a lot, the wear and tear over time is what gets you more then the occasional time you get bound up. Aluminum bead locks are by far the best. The Erikison's are great too and cheaper. Check out the vendor section.

For a little bit more you can get the Delrin machined Eritex beadlock wheels. They have the benefits of machined wheels but for an awesome price. Just find Eritex in the vendors forum. I have three sets of his wheels now, I also own a few sets of the Visionary Fab billet wheels but they are a lot more. One thing, my Delrin solids weigh more then my VF billet wheels, and the Eritex comp heavies weigh even more.

I have a set of axials and the hexes didn't last very long at all. It seems that the plastic around the hex gives and lets the hex spin in the rim. Using the same hexes with some narrowed RPM wheels with no problems. Even got metal hexes, and still have the same problem with the axial beadlocks.
