That's easy, the Claws simply dominate in your state comps

I'm partial to the Badlands M2. Climb as well as claws and sidehill better. Claws are a great tire, however. With regards to them dominating our comps, there has only been one comp (not counting scale comps, which wouldn't use them) since the Badlands came out.

I also craw on red rock. I say claws. Stick with what works. I never like my badlands and have sold them. Personal preference is more important than anything in my opinion. I think mentally if you have your mind set that 1 tire is better your going to feel that way anyway. Go with what you think will work better.

I run reduced/narrowed rock claws on my gwagon scaler and jaynen, whom I drive with often, is currently running reduced/narrowed badlands on his 4dr jk scaler. There seems to be little difference between them, with any difference in traction more likely due to the difference in the rigs themselves. They are both astounding tires. this is his rig the last outing, still sporting the badlands. he drove up and over that. not a comp rig, just a scaler... ![]() the badlands seem to do best when driven very slowly, allowing the small soft lugs to bite.

I just wish pro-line could make tires like Losi does. Let me explain...look at the bead and the tire of any pro-line tire right now - hammer, badlands, flat irons and then look at Losi Claws. The pro-lines have flashing and mold marks all over them. The Losi are the super clean, no sign of a mold mark or extra flashing. I'm running badlands myself right now and I'm just not crazy about Losi Claws (maybe because that's all you saw for long time) but when I look at how these two tires differ in quality, it drive me nuts. The Losi's are just so much nicer right of the package. Seems to be making a difference too on fussy beadlocks like MSD's etc.

Ill tell ya, my claws have mounted to every set of beadlocks effortlessly, I mean NO effort needed at all. Now my hammers, one of them I had to put some CA glue in spots just to hold it down to clamp it. My flatirons went on well, but still no tire is like the claws. The claws are an amazing tire. I need to do more testing as Im partial to the Hammers right now becuase they sidehill amazing. THe Flatirons are great too. It all comes down to the terrain and thats why I have all 3 sets mounted on Mayhem beadlocks, so if one tire sucks I just switch to another one. Well see, I have another comp tomorrow and im gonna give them all an equal shot.
