Question do i trim the memory foam like i did the reg foam with the stock tires?

i just bought new tires that are m3 compound for my 2.2 rig(ax10 scorpion). i trimmed the stock reg foam like i read on here to make it look like a gear from the side. i was super happy with that. this new tire set and foam is much softer. do i still need to do that or just leave it? thank you for your responses!

I don't cut memory foam. It's too soft.

I Hve Not Herd Of No One Cutting Memory Faom. Now I Have Seen Where People Add Foam To Memory Foam For More Side Wall Support.

You Don't Have To Capitalize Every Word....

And you don't need to cut the mem foam. That's the nice thing about it. It'll have a TON of sidewall strength until it's compressed

Default Couple things to consider...

IMO, all memory foam is way too soft to star cut.
However, 2 things to consider with any foam: softness of the foam and compression in the space they'll occupy. Plenty of guys trim memory foam.
Memory foam is very soft, but if its crammed against a wheel thats been wrapped several times in lead weights, it'll be pushed outward making it seem firmer.

I have proline memory foams. I trimmed the outer and inner corners by about a 1/4 in so now it looks more like a donut with rounded corners.
It side hills and compresses around rocks perfectly for my setup.
Just experiment a little at a time.

hey
I trim the inside edge on both sides, it makes it way easier to mount on a Beadlock.

yep just leave the foam uncut. Memory foams are way tooo soft to notice the "star cut" effect.
