Question why no dual compound tires?

why are there no tires with duall compounds? a stiffer sidewall and softer tread? i know many have made their own(i.e. rock lizards) but why are no companies making them? or possibly thicker side walls and thinner under the treads

Only a few team drivers have them but the new soon to be released Losi Rock Cutters have a sturdy side wall construction and a soft contact surface. Giving excellent side hill preformance and still pulling hard in forward climbs. So your wish is coming true soon. Dealers here on RCC are taking preorders now.
