I used to use super glue from wal-mart all the time... it held just as good as so called hobby grade CA. I now use sillicone for my tires holds good and is easy to remove without screwing up the rims.

I've been using Elmer's Fix-All with good results ... it's also good for bonding battery packs, making sidewall treads ... still finding uses. it has a 20 min set time and a 24 cure time so it's slow but works great ... it's basically a tube of clear silicone in small quantities. Got mine at Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire ... you can find it just about anywhere. Like Crawl-N-Clod said I like it as it doesn't screw the rim come replacement time.

I have mine attached with RTV silicone right now. Is that similar?

uh ... that's where the glue part come into effect. you need to let the Fix-all cure for the full 24hrs before it'll stay on the sidewalls though. I've repaiared bad cut designs with it as well too good effect.

As long as it contains cyanoacrylate, it'll hold just fine. Krazy glue, super glue, it's all the same in varying degrees of consistency. What you need to worry about is how fresh the stuff is. I've bought some Zap from a local hobby store for $10 a bottle that was absolute crap. It's mfg code was several years old so it had been sitting on the shelf a long, long time.
