Default Savage wheels and tires on Mad Force for $6

I wanted to run a set of the HPI tires and wheels on my MF so I got a set of stock savage hex's from tower for $5.99 and drilled out the centers with a 5/16th bit and slid them one the MF axles and drilled out the HPI wheels with the same bit and used the stock MF bolts to mount them. I don't think there are many MF owners here, but the same idea might work for other rigs with hex mounts. If anyone wants pics I'll post some Sat night after my Foster Parent class.

You shouldve gotten different wheels, as the savage wheels are notorious for stripping at the hex's.

I'm not sure if the MF and TF hexes are the same but my Savage rims slid rite on the aluminum hexes. In my kit, it comes with aluminum hexes to fit Sav/Max style wheels and plastic hexes that go over the aluminum hexes to fit the TF rims. They slid rite on with no mods.

mine just had the big solid plastic hex's, one piece. I had read here that they had the adapters for t-maxx wheels so I called and was told that the earlier ones didn't include them. They said they would send me a set but I still havent seen 'em...but the savage hex fit with just a little hole enlarging and now I have the savage wheel/tire combo on. This is the nitro force so they might not hold up (according to others) but my TXT is my crawler and the MF is just for hot rodding around. I love the wheelies
