I like mine. Good all around tire, may not necessarily be the best at anything, but work well all over for my HL.

yes i have them as well, and would like to know why you dislike them so? in the few test runs i have made i have not seen many problems and according to others around my area they seem quite satisfied with the flat irons themselves.

That's funny, Dustin (Scuzzy51) won our 1.9 TTC with them on his rig. Seemed to work quite well for him. Maybe you need to practice driving with them a little more .

I've got the same problem, but there all around a great tire IMO, more wheel speed will clean them out.

I have G8 flat irons and like them on the rocks. I don't drive in the mud so I don't know about them turning into slicks. Maybe you need more wheel speed to clean them out.

Cut off every other lug and see what you think then.

i dont like them that much either! they look alright and are a great hight but they just dont work on my terrain and ive found them to SUCK in snow, i put them aginst my mud thrashers (little bit shorter) and the mud thrashers made it up a hard pack snow hill with ease where the flat irons it was like being on ice, and they suck in dirt and on logs

my verdict mud thrashers> flat irons

Maybe you should try some mud tires then and when you decide to take your crawler out crawling put the flat irons back on and and let us know what you think then.

Flat Irons are a great tire. Great all around tire. The G8s work awesome on most applications. The scale look they have. Can't beat it.

Sounds like you need some practice and some more wheelspeed.
