Default "Narrow" Beadlocks....Narrowed & Dyed

Thanks to gregrocks90046 I got the cheyennes narrowed today. Took the chrome off with Fantastic (use the original or orange, the oxy version does not work) I then dyed them Black and Green using Rit clothing dye. For narrowing we used a drill press and cutting disc to cut a little over 3/4" out of them. Tacked them together with CA for alignment. Then I took epoxy and fiberglass cloth and applied that to strengthen them up. Moab XLs mounted.

Each front has 9oz. of bbs in them. I lined the inside of the tires with duct tape so the bbs wouldn't stick to the inner tire. Didn't use any foams. This actually helps the tires keep their shape too but a downside is when you let the rig sit on the tires they get temporary dead spots. The gecko is now on par with a stick minus a bit of center clearence. I couldn't believe it myself but it was working great last weekend.
