| Aw crap, thats torn it
Hey folks, Was assembling a set of Sedonas with the Novas two stage foams last night... Got first wheel done nice, hit the second wheel and the inner (hard) foam was catching on the strip weight. Anyways, push came to shove and I tore the glue seam in the inner foam. Q - What glue do I use to reset the ring. Most hydrocarbon based glues will eat the foam before it can bond, and I don't have a spare foam to trial on. |

Hi Stew, This is the glue I use on the foams: You could probably use 3M Spray adhesive to try and repair it. It will hold OK, but it's not a permanent fix. This is one of the reasons the 5.5 foams are all die cut now. Also, the foams are not designed to be stretched around wheel weights. I suggest channeling the inner foam to clear the stick on wheel weights. I hope this helps some, Eddie |

I did the same thing on an inner foam before using my Dremel with a sanding drum to channel a groove into the foam and they work awesome |

Probably because most vendors on here are the common man. They actually are out there with the rest of us which is what makes their products so good.
