Default Best cleaner for tires

Whats the best cleaner for tires that will also help keep dirt/dust off of them. I've heard good stuff about simple green, is there anything else. Most of our course require you to run and/or dig in dirt and it makes my boss claws no better than any other tire.

In offroad, we pretty much all use warm water with simple green added to it with an old scrub brush....seems to help get the crud off good and conditions the tires at the same time. I would imagine it would work with crawler tires just as well....

A big thing is to make sure you get the tires fully dry.....water likes to seep, so make sure to get it good and dry.

I agree with Eddie. Here's what I do (yea its labor intensive but it works for dirty tires ):
Pre-rinse the tires and rub off any clumps of mud or whatever "easily removed dirt" comes off.

Apply some foaming soap, nothing fancy here. If its cheap and it foams it works (regular works but takes longer to get it off since its so concentrated)

Spray on 100% Simple Green (if not very dirty) and let it soak while you do the others (eeh 5-10 mins, depends on how patient you are)

If the tires are real dirty, mix up 50/50 Simple Green and water and let it soak. Really works good, you will die at how dirty the water can get if you do this method

When done just scrub again and fling dry.

I like to stick mine in our gas oven over night and it dries them out nicely.

I have found this to be "sort of" labor intensive but man the results are incredible when you pull them out. Nice and STICKY

Boss claws are a pain to take on and off the wheels, i want to clean them on the tires, should i just scrub the simple green on with a tooth brush then rinse them off.

Also i read somewhere about wd-40, how well does that work

Just got with a brush and simple green.....wd40 doesn't clean them any better. Many feel it softens them up.....but there are better ways to soften your tires.

Yep you can do it like that. I do it all the time since I hate removing my tires from my rims (RC4WD ones are a pain to get a bead set and if you stare at em wrong they loose it again.) But yeah as long as the foams don't get wet, its perfectly fine

just wash them with warm water and whatever dish soap you have right now. Most dish soaps have a anti grease type formula so they wont leave them all filmy. I've used simple green and it works but I feel that the simple green leaves a film that i just wash off with dish soap.

Simple Green works best for cleaning, but I dont think there is anything that will prevent them from getting dirty.

And dont get your foams wet.

Mold... tropical fish... flys

No its not good since the foam is a LOT more likely to tear... don't ask how I know
