Maybe you guys can figure it out...

I will have the official release Friday. Might have something out there tomorrow night.

We should also have them in stock and ready to ship early next week as well.

I'd heard a ton of crap about the Baja Claws. I got a good deal on a set of 35's and ran them for about 2 years on my YJ. I ran them at Tellico, Black Mountain in Harlan, KY, and locally, and not once did I ever feel that the tread compound or the pattern ever let me down. The only times I ever had issue it was due to the size of the tire being smaller than the rest of the Jeeps in the group.

Most of the guys I used to wheel with were driving TJ's on 36's and 37's. Typically Iroks, SX's, Creepies, etc. On muddy trails and snow, I would hang with all of them...often times performing better. In the rocks, the only thing that would stop me was the lack of ground clearance. I would have to more carefully pick my lines, but I hooked up on Slick Rock at Tellico, and the upper part of Mason Jar at Black Mountain I was able to go up more easily than the guys on SX's and TSL's...about the same as the guy on Iroks.

I have since stepped up to 37" Rockers and love them, but I had no complaints about the Baja Claws. They were about as far from sucking as possible.

Hey RC4WD,

Why don't you include a sticker sheet with all of these super-sweet licensed tires? You know... some tiny Interco stickers, or Mickey Thompson stickers....

Your right and I wont sell them eather, I have seen them in action and they don't impress me at all. But I guess its how you use them. I will say that most of my customers that have had them were sorry they had bought them and in all the years I have wheeled, I hardly ever seen a set on the trail and I've been around a long time. So if there that good I think you would see more out there. If you think there that good, trying running a set of Crawlers you'll never go back.

I see your location listed as Burbank. With that, I can see why you don't care for them. As for the Crawlers, I've run with guys with Krawlers...one had 39" red labels on his TJ. On the rocks, they're a great tire. For east coast mud and snow, they're a bit too one dimensional. ...and before anybody says it, I'm not a mud bogger. However, in the east, you often have some really muddy trails to get you to the rocks. The Krawlers have to work a little harder than I like to get up those trails, especially when it seems that they hookup better on the rocks when they have some pretty significant wear.

It doesn't matter who he is. Blanket statements like "Baja Claws suck" is still a blanket statement, regardless of who makes it. The tires have their place. Just as the Swamper STS's are great in Sand, the Baja Claw is a nice balanced trail tire for the muddier trails that you often run into when east coast wheeling.

All that said, those look like a great size on that JK body. Often times, 1.9's just look to small on those.

EvilTwin.

Well first off, I guess I should spell my tire the correct way lololol, 2nd I wont argue with you. Being you seem to do a lot back there I guess you should find the tire that works best for your surroundings. (still suck out here) 3rd, yes even my 1.9's look small on my JK, but these pro-lines TSL's work bad ass and the 2.2s look to big. So....1.9s have to look good.

It's all good.

The best thing is that thanks to RC4wd, we have one more choice when we're building our toy trucks.
