Default tires ??

I was wondering if anyone tried punching holes in their tires ? Even though there are some holes in the wheels I`d think putting a few holes in the tires would allow them to grab the rock better . I have an extra set of stock LCC tires I might try .

If you run in water then this would be a bad idea .

Lots of people put a couple small holes in their tires to vent the air. Cutting holes in the carcass for any other reason seems like a waste. I don't see any benefit to it really, what would you be trying to achieve? Are you trying to soften up the carcass? trying to make it conform better? These all seem like things you should do with your foam tuning.

To vent the tires like we do in off-road racing .

Yes, that is a viable method. I prefer it actually to drilling rims (mostly out of pure laziness). I cut two small (approximately 1/8" diameter) holes in each tire.

The real advantage to putting the hole in the tire is for running in water. It will drain out with the hole in the tire and will not if its in the rim.

Randy

As stated above, after you run in the water, you just pick your rig up and spin the tires by throttle real quick and it will nearly pump all the water out of the tires. Works pretty good
