PM sent...

Crawler Innovations is testing a set of foams as we speak and I HIGHLY recommend their stuff. Ive got a set of dual foams that made a night and day difference for a couple local guys. I think the dual stage foams is hands down the way to go

With the right foams they work perfectly well on the rocks! First time we took em out we were HIGHLY dissappointed but with some dual stage foams they freakin tore it up the next GTG we had! Dont give up on em, they could easily be the best tire in regards to scale looks and performance!

Ok let me start by saying the only tire I have been able to compare to is a set of broken in flat irons which I thought worked very well. I have the Mickey tompson baja claws and they work extremely well in mud snow dirt and better than the flat irons on rocks. My front set has 6 oz of weight on axial wheels with the rc4wd foams star cut in 6 points. And the rear has 6 oz of weight and the flat iron memory foam not cut. Also I have the tread reversed so it's more like a claw just like the 1.1 do if there not driving on the road.

Well Thats great news. I almost tossed them to the side, but they just look so Good. I allready star cut the foams and added 6.5oz to the front and 5.oz to the rear. and wasnt impressed with them. So its looks like I'll try some foams next.

weve got a set on a scx, and with darksoul wheels weighted to about 8oz all around and the stock foams untouched.

ran them at boulder house this week end, and they did great!!!

the only complaint i can come up with is they could stand to be a lil softer rubber.

Well I'm going to order some foams and play it from there! I have a Huge indoor course that around 20 of us run weekly now for 4 years and the proline super swamper realy shine here. and the rig I run the mickeys on makes the swampers look like donuts.

Hey clayton fellow michigander here, where abouts is your course located. It would be nice to get out with some other rigs.

Did you ever try some different foams? The stock ones are no good for the weight of my rig, or the stock foams just suck.

my rig weighs in at 7.4 lbs.
im running stock foams front and rear..vented upfront/non vented rear.
i run the stock foams mainly because the memory foams will cause the
tire to fold under a lil easier..especially in the front.

the claws were biting hard enough i had to back off the throttle
in some places.
rocks/mud/sand..had no problems out of them.

if your gonna run the stock foams youd probably need a heavier rig.

if you have a lightweight rig ,run memory foams.
remember tho (some)memory foams can freeze up on ya in colder temps.

only thing i may do is do some minor lug trimming..

i love'em!!
thanks rc4wd!

I have a set on order but its great to find info before they arrive.

Will likely order a set of dual-foams just to have ready in case original foam is not up to par.

I LOVE THIS FORUM!!!

Crawler innovations is working on getting correct foam setup for the claws and boggers.

But in order to that.. We need some info for the folks running the claws and boggers. If you are running them, Please read post #33 in link and post up.
