Default Tire Weights?

When you put the BB's or shot in the tires is it better
to put them in loose or in a bag? Thanks Rob

Hey, im in Ohio too! I would think it would get really anoying to hear the BB's rattling around so I would put them in a bag. Hope this helps!!

I think you want them loose in the tire so they can roll around easily.

Badger is right, they won't roll well if they are in a bag.

My steel balls don't make any annoying sounds when they rattle so plastic BB's should be even quieter.

I am not running any foam. If that matters.

I was going to go BBs but found that small lead fishing weights were cheaper and heavier.

I'm pretty sure that they are quieter as well (more of a thudding together than a clacking)

Fixed it for you!

Putting them in a bag will totally defeat the idea of having them in there, if they roll around, it won't increase rotating mass.

Pellets from a shotgun shell? You do know a box of BB's is cheaper unless you happen to have loose shot laying around anyhow, right? But yea, since I reload my own shotgun shells, I had already settled on using shot since it'll be heavier.

I use lead shot also and it works great. The mass is much great than the BB's and seem to be a little quieter. I can't notice any noise from them when running it..The extra weight works great!

Thanks. I will be using shot instead of BB's because I
have it. Thanks again for the answers. Rob

I have maybe gone to extremes with 2 of my trucks, but it seems to work great!! I am running 4oz in each front tire, and 2oz in each rear tire for a total of 12oz, or 3/4 of a pound.. That is quite a bit of weight, but seeing how it is at the lowest point of the truck, it really drops the COG..
